Winter 2022 Jilly Box Unboxing

Disclosure: Not Sponsored – box was purchased by me.

It finally happened! I received the coveted “YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED!” email from the Jilly Box for the Winter 2022 box! I received the box today at my home in Iowa and it did not disappoint.

After trying out a FabFitFun subscription for a couple of years, the Jilly Box caught my attention as something more curated and elevated (though with an elevated price point), and I liked the inclusion of Canadian brands.

Below is an unboxing of the Winter 2022 box with no add-ons selected.

The Jilly Box is $199.00 CDN, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out I could pay in Canadian Dollars and have it shipped to the USA without an additional fee. Since I go back and forth often enough it wouldn’t have been a problem – I just didn’t want to wait a few weeks so it was nice to have the option.

For me, this box was a hit. I haven’t tried the products yet, but everything seems to be good quality and products I will definitely try and use regularly.

As with most subscription boxes, the box comes with a pamphlet that details the contents of the box, some information on how to use/wear the items, a cocktail recipe, and a couple of “how to” articles featuring current and past Jilly Box contents. There is also a QR code to scan which brings you to a video to follow along with Jillian and unbox together.

The first item is a beautiful gold vegan leather clutch. I was very impressed with how soft it was for vegan leather. It is also sizeable and will actually fit your essentials for a night out unlike standard-sized clutches. I like that it is nice enough that you could take it out for a nice dinner or to a holiday party, but it’s casual enough that you could take it to brunch too. The clutch comes with a dust bag as well so you can keep it protected while traveling or storing away.

Fawn Design for the Jilly Box – Gold Folder Clutch – $60 CAD value

Next up is a pair of fun art deco coupes. These are 10/10 my style and I was very excited about these. Usually I go for vintage barware, but I will make an exception for these. They are also a good size and will easily fit a large martini (speaking of – I’m excited to try the martini recipe in the pamphlet!).

The Sparkle Coupes by The Cross for the Jilly Box – $30 CAD value

The next item is a haircare item from JVN! I have been eyeing his products and I am very excited to try this one, Nourishing Shine Drops. Since my hair is so fine, I don’t usually go for a hair oil; however, the ends have been dry lately and this one is advertised as “weightless”, so I have high hopes. I’ll pop back with a review after I have used it a couple of times.

JVN – Complete Nourishing Shine Drops – $28 CAD value

The only item in the box that was shared in advance was a gold and diamond ring from Paris Jewellers. We had the option of white gold and yellow gold, but white gold – which I usually favour – was sold out in my size go I went with yellow gold. The diamond is teeny (0.01 ct) but I do enjoy how delicate the ring is. If you are like me and prefer minimal jewelry for day to day, this would be a nice addition to your collection.

Paris Jewellers for the Jilly Box – Jilly’s Mini-Heart Diamond Ring in Yellow Gold – $235 CAD value

Do you ever see something fun that you would enjoy if you were given it but couldn’t be bothered to go out and buy it? That is twinkle lights for me. They are fun and would add that extra holiday “sparkle” to my seasonal decor, but I just can’t bring myself to buy them, so I was pleasantly surprised to see them in the box!

Kikkerland Design – Silver String Lights – $13 CAD Value

I don’t regularly use a serum, so I do enjoy trying them when I get one in a subscription box. This one Jillian says (in her unboxing video) she uses all the time. For such a small bottle and a high price point, I kind of hope I don’t love it… but stay tuned for a review.

Vivier – CE Peptides – $196 CAD value

The one item I had mixed feelings about was the Basd lotion. There was a Bathorium coupon in the box which I was hoping meant some bath salts or something like that was included instead. I am looking forward to trying this lotion, and the peppermint will certainly feel and smell delightful; however, I am terrible at moisturizing anything but my face so lotion is usually wasted on me, despite whatever good intentions I may have (apologies to the rest of my body).

Basd Body Care – Invigorating Mint Body Lotion – $17 CAD value

Last but certainly not least… these gorgeous lipsticks. On the left is more of a nudey-pink and the right is a darker coral colour. I am a sucker for a good lipstick and can’t wait to try these out. The lipsticks are designed in Canada and manufactured in Italy. The lipstick holders feel high quality as well.

Evalina Beauty for the Jilly Box – Pout Lipstick in Pink Champagne and Orchard Cherry – $72 CAD value

Overall, I felt this Jilly Box delivered. It had a curated feel and high quality products that should reasonably be expected of the price point, and also felt very on-brand for Jillian Harris. I will see how these products are once I start using them, but based solely on the unboxing so far I would definitely be interested in trying another box.

Did you get the Jilly Box this season or wish you did? What is your favourite product in this season’s box?
